The real estate company and Leah Caro, its President and Principal Broker, along with the Food Bank for Westchester, has created a “Virtual Food Drive” for residents to contribute food via the internet. Click here to access the Food Drive.

Contributors will click on an item in the virtual food drive, including grains, fruits, vegetables, protein and dairy. Each click purchases a case of each item. When shoppers reach the desired contribution amount, they will check out at the end of the process.

The virtual drive gives shoppers a realistic experience -- Muzak, announcements and a shopping cart -- as they browse the aisles. Shoppers also purchase items at deep discounts.

With a virtual drive, shoppers don’t have to drive, stand in line or deliver the packages. The food will be delivered to organizations in the region to bring to residents.

“Over 200,000 residents in Westchester County face food insecurity,’’ Caro said. “That’s a staggering statistic considering this one of the wealthiest regions in the country. Any donation will help feed people in our own neighborhoods.”
