SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Palisades Hudson Financial Group, a fee-only wealth management and financial planning firm, recently opened an office in Austin, Texas.
It is the Scarsdale-based firm’s first foray into Texas. The office is headed by Benjamin Sullivan, portfolio and client service manager. Sullivan is frequently quoted as an expert on financial planning in national media such as The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report and USA Today.
“Austin is booming, and there’s a need for sophisticated investment, planning, tax and estate advice,” said Larry Elkin, the firm’s president. “Ben will build our presence in one of the country’s most economically vibrant states and its dynamic, tech-savvy capital city.”
A graduate of Tulane University, Sullivan, 32, holds the certified financial planner and IRS enrolled agent designations. He is a contributor to Palisades Hudson’s recent book, “Looking Ahead: Life, Family, Wealth and Business After 55.”
Palisades Hudson is a fee-only financial planning firm and investment manager based in Scarsdale, with $1.2 billion under management. Besides Austin, other branches are in Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, and Portland.
