SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Two Scarsdale natives have come "full circle" by setting up new real estate offices in the Golden Horseshoe on Wilmot Road, a place they used to frequent when they were young.
Platinum Drive Realty, founded by husband-and-wife team Zach and Heather Harrison – both Scarsdale High School alumni – will hold a public celebration from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, featuring food, balloon art, cotton candy, face painting and a holiday visit from Frosty the Snowman.
“We’re so happy to be opening a new location at the Golden Horseshoe," Zach Harrison said. "Many of our agents grew up in the area, and used to come here as kids, so this is truly life coming full circle.”
The new location will feature updated technology and an area for kids to play while clients peruse properties.
“The new location will give our clients an opportunity to search for properties in a comfortable atmosphere, and our clients will be able to bring their kids to play in Platinum Drive’s Playhouse,” he continued. “It’s all part of making real estate an enjoyable, rewarding and first-rate experience.”
The Harrisons have a long history with real estate sales in Westchester County. Heather’s grandmother, Sunny Dubbs, owned her own Scarsdale real estate company in the 1970s, and her brother is a local builder.
“We knew it was in our blood and felt, who better to sell Westchester than people who grew up here and are now raising their families here?” she said.
Many of the agents on the Platinum Drive team grew up in the area and spent time in the locations they are now selling. According to biographies on the Platinum Drive website, they have previously worked as lawyers, entrepreneurs, marketing and finance professionals and teachers.
Zach Harrison says the diverse backgrounds give Platinum Drive an edge in the industry.
“Our agents understand the importance of client relationships, responsiveness and the need for detailed analysis,” he said. “We are on top of every technological advancement and bring cutting edge research and marketing strategies to each transaction."
