SCARSDALE, N.Y. – After shuttering its doors over the weekend to move to a larger location, Vintology Wine and Spirits in Scarsdale has been re-opened at the Heathcote five corners on Palmer Avenue.

According to Vintology Manager Elizabeth Miller, she and her employees moved more than eight tons of wine and liquor in advance of the grand re-opening on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The new location nearly doubled the square footage of Vintology. When patrons visit the local liquor store, they will find that the wine and spirits selection has nearly doubled, seemingly overnight. New choices include organic and biodynamic wine, spirits created locally and a combination of both artisanal and imported selections.

“The team began meeting with winemakers and importers on Tuesday to develop an expanded wine and spirits selection,” Miller said. “Vintology’s expanded selection reflects the ever-changing wine scene.”

Vintology will celebrate its fifth year in the village next month at an anniversary party. There will be a wine tasting and selection of local cuisines from 1 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 16 at the store.

Customers were pleased to have their local wine shop opened up again, and were impressed with the increased selection.

“We come here for all of our wine, it’s the nicest store around this area,” resident Jim Vickers said on Wednesday. “It was a [heck of] a store before, and it’s even better now with all the extra space.”
