Cindy J Polera is the Village Naturalist for Scarsdale and director of programs at The (Wilhelm) Weinberg Nature Center located on Mamaroneck Road. A life long lover of nature and animals, Cindy develops programs that are hands-on, interactive educational fun. Her use of props, like child sized lily pads and bee hives, etc. inspire children to know all they can about the natural world. "Nature hikes, along with costumes, props and eco-dramas allow children to explore the life of plants and animals through a perspective that brings them closer to understanding the importance, interconnection and diversity of all living things."
