Adults, Teens Compete In Scarsdale Library Spelling Bee

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The sixth annual Friends of the Scarsdale Library Adult and Teen Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The grand prize will be Bose headphones. There will also be a silent auction including a complete Test Takers course and a spinning party. Raffle items will include yoga classes, children's toys, games and golf lessons.

The evening, emceed by Ed Coleman, voice of the New York Mets, will include a raffle, silent auction, and a trivia contest between rounds. Admission to the Spelling Bee is $5, with children under five for free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Funds raised will continue to bring notable authors to our community, such as speaker David Stern, commissioner emeritus of the NBA on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Scarsdale High School.
