The Art Promenade begins at 15 Split Tree Road in Scarsdale, where a detailed map of the walk will be available.
Stroll through several beautiful homes in the Murdock Woods section of Scarsdale while browsing the art and craft work of more than 20 artists from the French and American communities, including painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelry makers and pastry chefs. The Art Promenade is also a fundraiser, and all participating artists agree to donate 10 percent of their proceeds to two pre-selected non-profit organizations, Furniture Sharehouse and the French- American School of New York.
"We are so grateful to the Art Promenade for their continuing support, which helps dozens of families 'make a house a home' every year," said Kate Bialo, executive director of Furniture Sharehouse.
Joel Peinado, head of school at the French-American School of New York also was grateful to Art Promenade.
“We thank the Art Promenade for helping us foster academic excellence and a spirit of inquiry, service and social responsibility,” Peinado said. Furniture Sharehouse provides gently-used furniture to families in need and has distributed more than 42,000 items of furniture free of charge to more than 7,800 individuals since 2007 to help them “make a house a home.” The French-American School of New York strives to educate globally-literate, bilingual, lifelong learners who understand, contribute to and thrive in an increasingly interdependent and connected world. The event is free will take place rain or shine. Food will be available for purchase.
