Buy Books, DVDs At Scarsdale Library's Book Sale

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Friends of the Scarsdale Library will hold its annual Book Sale from Friday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Scarsdale Public Library.

The library is between Olmsted Road and Post Road in Scarsdale. The Book Sale will have more than 60,000 almost-new and out-of-print books, including bestsellers, classics, biographies, fiction, parenting, cooking, art, graphic novels, humor, self-help, drama, religion, business and poetry. There is also a large selection of books for children, as well as DVDs, CDs, videotapes, audio books and sheet music. A members-only preview will be held Friday, Sept. 5, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. New members may join at that time for $25. The book sale will then open to the general public the next day and run through the end of the week. New books are put out each day. Dates and times follow: Regular Sale:

Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Half Price Sale

Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Blow-Out Sale Sunday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
