Compete In Scarsdale Library's Adult And Teen Spelling Bee

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Join friends and neighbors at the sixth annual Friends of the Scarsdale Library Adult and Teen Spelling Bee in the Scarsdale High School auditorium.

The event will take place Friday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m.

The evening, emceed by Ed Coleman, voice of the New York Mets, will include a raffle, silent auction and a trivia contest between rounds.

Admission to the spelling bee is $5, and refreshments will be available for purchase. 

Silent auction Items include Test Takers courses; raffle items include yoga classes, children's toys and games, and spinning and golf lessons.

Raffle tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the library on Wednesday, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 31, from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Ticket holders need not be present to win. Sponsor and Donor Application forms are available at the library or online by clicking here

All are welcome to join at all levels, whether sponsor ($250 or more) or donor. Funds raised will continue to bring notable authors to the community, such as upcoming speaker David Stern, commissioner emeritus of the NBA.
