SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- “Relativity, the Universe and Gravitational Waves,” a discussion of the fascinating theories and facts about our universe is the topic of a program presented by Limin Wang at the Scarsdale Public Library on Saturday, May 14, at 3:30 p.m.
Through simple thought-experiments, Wang will show that Einstein’s relativity theories along with their predictions are the only self-consistent ways to describe the universe. He will explore some of the mysteries and lore surrounding relativity, time travel, the expanding universe and gravitational waves.
Wang, a Wall Street portfolio manager, previously was a research scientist in theoretical cosmology at Columbia University.
He closely follows new developments in cosmology and is passionate about inspiring young students to engage with science and technology using his ability to describe the science phenomena in a non-technical and general way.
