Residents and business owners are invited to join the City of New Rochelle on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6 PM at Five Islands Park's Indoor Pavilion to offer input into the creation of the City's Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan(LWRP).. Discussion topics will include the community’s vision for the waterfront, creation of an inventory of waterfront resources, identification of critical issues facing the waterfront, potential projects to activate the waterfront and connect it to the City, and how the LWRP can encourage waterfront improvements,

The updated LWRP will include land uses and projects, a harbor management plan, and a plan for Davids Island. It will also undertake any necessary zoning changes and will take into account passive and active types of recreation, commercial and recreational uses, and the natural resources of a harbor, according to the city's website.
