Darien Book Aid Seeks Titles To Send to Montana

The following is a letter submitted by Darien Book Aid Plan. If you have letters you would like to put on our site, send them to cdonahue@thedailydarien.com.

DARIEN, Conn. — Book Aid Plan volunteers are working to fill a book request for a Flathead Indian Reservation school in Montana. The ninth and 10th grade English teacher has requested multiple copies of several titles for her students to read as a class. We ask the community to help us serve this school, which has extremely limited resources.

The titles are "A Long Way Gone," "Lord of the Flies," "Out of the Dust" by Karen Hess and "Bounce" by Natasha Friend. We invite donors to leave copies in good condition in our lobby, which is open for donations 24 hours a day. Darien Book Aid is located at 1926 Post Road in the Noroton section of Darien. Our building (a former fire station) looks like an old school house with a bell tower and sits across the Post Road from the current Noroton Firehouse.

Thank you for your generosity,

Joanne Leaman
