STAMFORD, Conn. ? Peter Arahovitas, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died on Friday. He was 19 years old.
He is survived by his parents, George and Panagiota Arahovitis; his sisters, Eleni and Effie Arahovitis; his grandparents, Ioannis and Eleni Christakakos; and aunts, uncles and many cousins.
A funeral service was celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Stamford. Interment followed in Fairfield Memorial Cemetery in Stamford. The Bosak Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Peters memory to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, to Closer to Free: A Ride for Smilow Cancer Hospital, Suzanne Faraones page, or to the research of Dr. Paul Jubinsky (c/o Lisa Camera), Yale Pediatric Oncology, 333 Cedar St., New Haven, CT 06510. All were important to Peter.
