The new store will open Jan. 11 next to Chimney Rock Inn on Route 31 in Flemington, MyCentralJersey reports.

First opened in Arkansas in 2003, Slim Chickens is known for its savory buttermilk fried chicken tenders that can be smothered in one of a dozen sauce flavors.

Also on the menu are soul food specialties like mac and cheese, chicken sandwiches and chicken and waffles.

A total of 15 locations will eventually open in the Garden State, the outlet reports citing Flemington franchise owners Paul and Jay Patel — aka, Jersey Boys LLC.
