Don't let anyone tell you your dreams can't come true. A Middlesex County woman is hundreds of thousands of dollars richer after she dreamt of winning the lottery and then did it.

Patricia Harris, of Holliston, won $25,000 a year for life in the Massachusetts State Lottery's  "Lucky For Life" drawing.

She won the drawing in September 2023 but didn't claim her prize until Thursday, March 14. Perhaps it took some time for the dream to sink in.

Harris chose to take the lump sum payment of $390,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.

She plans to invest some of the money and do some nice things for her family.

Harris bought the ticket at Country Farm at 429 Washington St. in Holliston. The store will get a $5,000 bonus for the sale.

Harris isn't the only person whose dream came true. There's another "Lucky For Life" winner out there, but they're in for a rude awakening if they don't claim the prize money by May 17.

That ticket was bought at J Convenience Store & Laundromat on Main Street in Natick on May 17, 2023. Winning tickets have a shelf life of one year before they are voided.
