Shenkman will lead a discussion about transitions and read some of her poetry. Then she will help attendees think about what they always wanted to do and what their creative goal might be.

Shenkman is a Professor Emerita at CUNY. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Women’s National Book Association and was awarded second place in poetry in the Women’s National Book Association National Writing Contest. She was Poet-in-Residence at Boomer Cafe and is proud to have a poetry page on Verse Wrights.
