Kids Experience Fun With Dogs, Movies, Music At Scarsdale Library

The Scarsdale Library will host a variety of fun and entertaining programs for kids during April.

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Dogs, music and movies are all part of the upcoming events for kids at the Scarsdale Library.

Events include the following:

  • Nancie Schnur brings her Kiddie Kabaret, the popular monthly program for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years to the library on Tuesday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m. The program uses puppets and songs, both traditional and original, for the enjoyment of both children and caregivers.
  • On Thursday, April 28, at 4 p.m., Needlemania!, a crochet club for kids in grades 3 and up will meet. Children have an opportunity to learn the basics or show off their existing skills while meeting new friends. Registration is required at the library website, scarsdalelibrary.org .
  • Dog lovers of all ages will have a chance to play with man’s best friend on Friday, April 29, at 2 p.m. The dogs are certified by the Good Dog Foundation.
  • Two favorite children’s movies that are enjoyed by the entire family will be shown during the week: “The Peanuts Movie” on Monday, April 25, at 2 p.m., and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” on Thursday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. Popcorn, kosher for Passover, will be served.
