SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester at 999 Wimot Road on the Scarsdale-New Rochelle line, is offering two workshops to assist teens getting ready for the school year.

From 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sept. 30, the organization will host time management workshops designed to teach teens and parents how to make the best use of their days.

During the first hands-on session, participants will learn to make time to juggle their busy schedules using time maps, school planners and electronic devices. The second will be a paper management workshop that will teach those present how to organize binders, backpacks, lockers and their homes.

Larchmont resident Leslie Josel, the principal of Order out of Chaos, will teach the classes. Josel is a professional organizer who specializes in students and adults who struggle with chronic disorganization. She’s received certification from the Institute of Challenging Disorganization and is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers.

Attending one workshop will cost $25, or $40 for both. The JCC will also offer a PSAT boot camp, writing skills and college application essay workshops this fall. For more information, contact Lisa Itzkowitz, director of the JCC Academic Center, at (914) 472-3300 ext. 275 or itzkowitzl@jccmw.org.
