Let's Dance: 98-Year-Old Dazzles Scarsdale Crowd With Youthful Spirit

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The music may have been a bit low but that didn't stop the enthusiasm at the Scarsdale Athleta store Sunday, Jan. 15 when Tao Porchon-Lynch, known for being the world's oldest yoga teacher, took to the floor.

The 98-year-old and her dance partner Anton Bilozorov, of Hartsdale's Fred Astaire Dance Studio, dazzled the crowd with their moves -- and in Porchon-Lynch's case, her three colorful dance outfits.

At the end of the performance, one young girl asked Porchon-Lynch what keeps her going. "I just love dancing," she replied.

Porchon-Lynch graces the January cover of the Athleta catalog, part of the brand's "Power of She" campaign geared towards empowering girls and women to realize their limitless potential.

The White Plains resident, after all,  still teaches yoga at the JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale.
