SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Violinist Gary Kosloski and pianist Helene Jeanney will be the featured performers at a faculty concert next week hosted by Scarsdale's Hoff-Barthelson Music School.
The duo will perform pieces by Brahms, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and others Friday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. at the Greenville Community Church on Ardsley Road. They will also play a contemporary composition by David McIntyre.
Kosloski has received numerous fellowships and awards in his native Canada, and was a founding member of the acclaimed Elysian Trio. He has served as concertmaster and soloist with the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Ballet Orchestra and Cleveland Chamber Symphony. He’s been a professor of violin at the University of Oklahoma, Florida State University and Baldwin-Wallace College.
French-born Jeanney graduated from the Paris Conservatory when she was 17 years old. She went to Indiana University on a Fulbright Scholarship and holds a Professional Studies degree from the Juilliard School. She has been a soloist with the Paris National Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, New World Symphony and Indianapolis Symphony.
