SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Edna Ortof, a painter of note and member of the Scarsdale Art Association, has donated one of her coveted paintings, “Portuguese Village” to be raffled off at the end of this weekend's Scarsdale Art Association’s Arts Festival in Chase Park.
Ortof, an international plein air painter, has traveled the world to capture, in watercolors, many scenes in Europe, Africa, Iceland and Canada. Further, her paintings currently are exhibited in many galleries, corporations and private collections. One of her paintings was selected to be on the cover of "American Psychologist," the premier social science journal world-wide.
Additionally, her paintings have won first-place awards from the Westchester Women's Clubs, who sponsor the Beaux Arts Competitions, as well as Scarsdale Art Association exhibits.
Free raffle tickets are available to all who attend the free festival.
The festival is on Saturday and Sunday. A rain date is scheduled for the following weekend.
