The goal is having 5,000 new books on Pajama Program’s decorated school bus, which was donated by County  Coach.

During the week, hundreds of children and adults, Westchester schools, businesses, and libraries who participate in this event will help local children in need.

The first stops for “Stuff a Bus 2014" include Carter’s, Scholastic Book Clubs, County Coach Corporation, Mt. Carmel Pharmacy, Westchester Bank and Shydlo Communication.

Pajama Program provides new books and new pajamas to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. These children live in various settings including group homes, shelters and temporary housing and are shuffled often from one place to another. Many of them have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

Some of the children served are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter.
