Joining Kirchoff will be guest artists Désirée Elsevier, viola and James Ognibene, clarinet.
Included on the program are three works for piano by Federico Mompou – Jeunes Filles au Jardin, Canción y Danza VI and Canción y Danza IX; Joseph Haydn’s Divertimento in D Major, performed with Elsevier; and Mozart’s Klavier Trio KV 498 (Kegelstatt) with Elsevier and Ognibene.
Admission to the recital is $18, $15 for seniors (65+) and free of charge to HBMS students and students 18 years of age and younger. Tickets can be ordered by calling 914-723-1169 or e-mailing hb@hbms.org and are available for purchase at the door.
Kirchoff studied with Edna Golandsky and has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recital in the U.S. and Europe, including appearances at Carnegie Recital Hall, Barcelona Conservatory and the Metropolitan Museum Musical Instruments Gallery.
His performances have been broadcast on NPR and NET and have been recorded on the Centaur label. Kirchoff is a member of the faculty of Hoff-Barthelson Music School, where he also serves as piano consultant, coordinating the restoration and care of the music school’s pianos.
