Scardale Library Keeps Kids Busy In November

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Library released its schedule of events for children and parents to enjoy throughout November. Here's a look at some of them:

The library will host "Yoga-A-Go-Go" on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. The class is designed for children with special needs and is wheel chair accessible. The event is open to all ages and no registration is required. 

A Musical Playdate with Chi-Chi Lin Bestman will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. The concert is geared for newborn through pre-school-aged children and will help them discover the violin and viola. 

A celebration of the Hindu holiday Diwali will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. The festival of lights will feature music and dance by local artists. 

Chinese story time will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 1 through 3 years old. Please note that the program is conducted entirely in Chinese and is not instructional. 

A drop in crafts class will take place the following day, Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for children ages 3 and up. 

The library will host "Legomania" on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature unstructured, free-style building with Legos. 

A "Kiddie Kabaret" with Nancie Schnur will be held for children ages 18 months to 3 1/2 years old on Nov. 26 at 10:30 a.m. 

Story time in the afternoon for children ages 3 1/2 and up will continue to take place every Tuesday in November at 4 p.m.
