SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale Adult School is releasing a preview of its spring and summer programs.

Here is a rundown of expected programs:

  • Alfred Hunt will offer an evening reprise of the upcoming "Around the World in Eight Days."
  • Melissa Frazier is returning to the school for a comparative literature course on "Lolita" and "Notes from Underground." 
  • "Flaming June by Frederic Leighton" art appreciation offerings will include a preview of the Frick Collection's exhibition of Leighton’s "Flaming June." Walking tours of the art galleries in Chelsea and Soho will be offered. A discussion course on Photography as Fine Art is also offered.
  • Eric Jennings returns to the school for an opera course and he will also debut a Sunday combination concert/educational experience featuring jazz composers.
  • Christiana Pegoraro will return for an evening discussions on Musical Forms and Innovations of the Great Composers. Edmund Niemann will perform an annotated recital featuring the music of Franz Schubert.
  • Beverley Caen will lead a class on re-entering the work force.  Lisa Bezos will share more on parenting a child with ADHD.
  • Lisa Schwartz and Melissa Otero will teach residents how to talk so your kids will listen.
  • Jen Rossano will demonstrate how to cook with "super foods" and tips for summer salads.
  • Jocelyn Kenner will return in the Ten Commandments for Organizing Your Home.

The school continues to offer foreign languages, iWorld, health and wellness, arts and crafts, home and garden, cooking, games, fitness and more.
