Scarsdale Couple Kristoff, WuDunn Lecture On New Book

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A Scarsdale husband and wife will deliver a lecture about their new book on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m., at Scarsdale High School.

“A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity” by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn follows philanthropists around the world who use a variety of strategies to tackle some of the 21st century’s most pervasive problems, including poverty, inner-city violence and sex trafficking.

The lecture will be followed by a reception.

Copies of the book can be purchased for signing by clicking here. All proceeds from book sales will benefit the Scarsdale Adult School and Nurse Family Partnership.   

Books ordered by Tuesday, Oct. 14, will be distributed on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Scarsdale Public Library and from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Scarsdale High School. Orders received afterward will be distributed at the lecture on Nov. 6. 

Limited copies will be available for purchase at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kristof is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times columnist. WuDunn, the first Asian-American reporter to win a Pulitzer Prize, is a business executive who works with entrepreneurs in new media and social enterprise at a small investment-banking boutique in New York City. Together, they wrote the No. 1 best-seller “Half the Sky.”
