From 7 to 11 p.m. on Jan. 26, there will be an evening of conversation and friends as members of the Forum chase away the winter weather blues with a night of music and treats. There will be shopping opportunities, and 15 percent of the proceeds will be used to digitize the Forum’s historical records and to support the public programs it offers during the year.
There will be dishes from local food vendors, a wine tasting hosted by Vintology, home-brewed beers from resident Bruce Wells and a food demonstration by Ellen Cohen of the Pampered Chef. Dessert will be served in the dining room of the club, featuring home baked goods from members and Scarsdale bakeries.
Members capable on the piano will join Angelo DiLoreto of the Manhattan School of Music to set a festive mood at the Woman’s Club. All members and guests will receive a journal, written by Eric Rothschild, village historian and Forum member, that outlines the history of the Forum.
The Forum has been part of the village for more than a century, and is dedicated to improving life for all residents in Scarsdale. Members study many issues that affect the village and provide input to the governing bodies and elected officials that can enact change.
