SCARSDALE, N.Y. – This weekend, the Scarsdale Forum will welcome renaissance physician Jacob M. Appel to his local library for a discussion about "Ethical Dilemmas in Modern Medicine: What Every Citizen Should Know."
A psychiatrist and professional bioethicist that writes about issues of medicine and morality, Scarsdale High School alumni Appel will address topics that can affect any village resident that finds themselves in need of medical care.
A veteran professor who has taught bioethics at Brown University, NYU and Columbia University, Appel has been a regular ethics columnist at the Huffington Post, Opposing Views and Education Update and has been published in trade magazines and newspapers around the country. He is also a noted playwright and author that has won multiple awards for his works.
The Speaker Series will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 in the Scott Room at the Scarsdale Public Library, complete with refreshments for those in attendance.
