SCARSDALE, N.Y. - A trio of local educators will be the featured guests at the upcoming Scarsdale Forum and Membership meeting, where they will discuss the “Education of Today and Tomorrow.”

On Thursday, Nov. 3, Scarsdale Board of Education President Leila Shames Maude, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Lynne Shain and Director for Instructional Technology and Innovation Jerry Crisci will be on hand at the public library to discuss the state of education in the village.

Additionally, the Forum will continue its review of Scarsdale’s Non-Partisan system through a presentation with guest Max Grudin, the Chair of the Procedure Committee, who will offer an update on recommendations to the Citizen’s Nominating Committee.

The meeting gets underway at 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Scott Room at the Scarsdale Public Library. Preceding the meeting, there will be a reception honoring retired Fire Chief Thomas Cain, who has served the village for more than three decades.

The Scarsdale Forum is a civic organization that is more than a century old. It is dedicated to improving life in Scarsdale. The forum studies issues before local, regional and state governing bodies and provides input and recommendations through public reports and statements.
