Scarsdale Library To Host Author, Playwright

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Library is set to host special events featuring an author and a playwright later this month.

Helen Wan will discuss her debut novel about a young Chinese-American woman lawyer, at  3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 The event is co-sponsored by the library and the Chinese Book Club of Westchester.

The library will also host award-winning playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13. The program is part of the Scarsdale Library Writers’ Center Professional Series, sponsored by the Writers' Center, a group that provides resources and support for local writers. The presentation is free and open to the public.

The library is also hosting the monthly book club for adults interested in what young adults are reading. The club will meet at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Scarsdale Public Library.
