During the first session, Baruch-Feldman reviewed the latest research surrounding the struggle to maintain New Year’s resolutions. In the second part, participants will focus on eating and weight management.

“Anyone who is interested in being more mindful about healthy eating and maintaining good health and fitness would benefit from the lecture,” Baruch-Feldman said.

The lecture will provide tips not just for dieting, but for maintaining new habits and building willpower. Baruch-Feldman will explore how the practices utilized in losing weight can benefit many common struggles, including increasing patience as a parent or becoming more efficient.

Nearly 50 people attended the first part of the lecture on Jan. 25. They learned practical suggestions on how to proceed in everyday life. The workshops are interactive, and Baruch-Feldman has presented them around the country.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Baruch-Feldman back to the Scarsdale Library,” said library director Elizabeth Bermel. “The turnout for her first seminar was larger than anticipated, and we have received positive feedback from many who attended.”
