SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale's 71-year-old Hoff-Barthelson Music School music will host a college advisory roundtable on Saturday, Jan. 9.
The Friends of Hoff-Barthelson Music School welcomes the public to its free annual panel discussion about the college selection process. This organization is the parent organization for the Hoff-Barthelson Music School.
HBMS faculty members and recent alumni will participate in a roundtable discussion, moderated by HBMS Dean Ruth Alperson.
The discussion will center on the continuation of music education and performance at the college level, with an emphasis on the merits of conservatory versus liberal arts colleges.
Jane Klemmer, who is the founder of Klemmer Educational Consulting, will be a special guest speaker. She has Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan College and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Columbia University.
