The hands-on workshop, taught by Eileen Palma, will teach participants how to create an authentic social media platform. It will cover the best ways to use Instagram and how to make real connections through social media that could translate into blog tours, speaking engagements, book reviews, art shows or art deals for writers and artists.

Eileen Palma has bachelor degrees in both English and education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is an alumna of The Writing Institute. Her romantic comedy “Worth the Weight” was published in April 2014.

Palma has used her experience as the former face behind the Bronxville Adult School’s Facebook page to help her with the social media side of the writing business. She has embraced the world of social media and has worked one-on-one with other writers to help them set up their own Facebook author pages, websites and Twitter accounts.

The fee is $80 for Scarsdale residents and $100 for non-residents. Click here to register or call (914) 395-2205.

The Scarsdale library is located at 54 Olmsted Road.
