What To Do Around Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Programs for children, a music show and a coffee hour at the Scarsdale Congregational Church are among the events scheduled in Scarsdale this weekend.

Friday, March 1

Mother Goose Walkers: 10:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Music at the Park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase guest artist John James playing rock and soul. Guests will receive a free Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, March 2

Babies and Bagels: 9:15 a.m. This informal, drop-in playgroup is for babies and toddlers with their moms, dads, caregivers and grandparents. All are welcome. No fee. Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Children’s Art Class: 9:45 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 can gain confidence in self-expression through painting, sculpting, drawing, collage, dramatic play and more at Gymboree. 450 Central Park Ave., Greenburgh.

Candy Tasting: 11 a.m. Imagine Candy will host a free chocolate and candy tasting for residents. 22 Harwood Court, Scarsdale.

Open House: 1 p.m. There will be a workshop for children to see how easy it can be to learn Chinese. 52 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Sunday, March 3

Coffee Hour: 11:30 a.m. The Scarsdale Congregational Church hosts a coffee hour every Sunday after services. The first Sunday of the month is "Children’s Day." It is a chance to catch up with friends and neighbors, and meet new ones. All ages are welcome. 1 Heathcote Road, Scarsdale.
