Friday, Oct. 19

Mother Goose for pre-walkers: 9:30 a.m. The Scarsdale Public Library is hosting a program for babies up to age 2 with an adult. There will be rhymes, songs and stories to stimulate listening, learning, speaking and reading skills. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.  

Jewelry sale: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CIRCA, the largest international buyer of jewelry, diamonds and watches will be purchasing unwanted pieces. 18 Chase Road, Scarsdale. 

Padre Pio in America: 3-6:30 p.m. There will be a presentation on the life of Padre Pio, including relics from his life. Must register and pre-pay at the Westchester Italian Cultural Center. $10 for members; $20 for non-members. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Community Yoga: 7:30 p.m. A mixed-level class taught by recent Teacher Trainee graduates. 91 Montgomery Ave., Scarsdale. 

Coffeehouse: 8 p.m. Watch Bronxville resident Sal Casabianca, Eastchester resident Kelly Flint and singer David Ray perform at the Bronxville Women’s Club while enjoying coffee and munchies. $5. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.

Saturday, Oct. 20

Challenge your tax assessment: 10 a.m. Speak to retired tax assessor Richard O’Donnell to see if your assessment is too high and if you are paying too much in property taxes. 26 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Music hustle for breast cancer: 10:30 a.m. Get the gift of fitness for free with classes hosted at I Train With Juan. 30 Elm St., Tuckahoe.

Parachute Playtime: 10:30 a.m. A new way for children to develop motor skills, learn to work together, have imaginative playtime and develop awareness and learn to express themselves. Adult supervision is essential, and registration is required at the Scarsdale Public Library. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale. 

Wag Your Tale: 3 p.m. Children can practice their reading skills with trained dogs at the Scarsdale Public Library. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Sunday, Oct. 21

Art show: 1 p.m. Evolution Arts will host free exhibits from emerging artists from Yonkers and the rest of Westchester County. There will be music and entertainment at the Waterfront Esplande. 2 Water Grant St., Yonkers.

Documentary: 2 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will screen “Education Under Fire,” presented by the Baha’I Community of Scarsdale.

Window painting and costume parade: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Halloween Window Painting Contest will see Scarsdale windows transformed for Halloween. There will be a parade for all costumed children at 3 p.m.
