What To Do Around Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale is set to get spooky this weekend, as there is a full series of events scheduled to celebrate Halloween. See our Events Page for a complete list of local and county events.

Friday, Oct. 26

Mother Goose for pre-walkers: 9:30 a.m. The Scarsdale Public Library hosts a program for babies up to age 2 with an adult. There will be rhymes, songs and stories to stimulate listening, learning, speaking and reading skills. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.   

Halloween Prowl: 6 p.m. Come in costume to the Weinberg Nature Center as it journeys through the shadows and meet live “creatures of the night” such as bats and owls. $5. 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Zombie Asylum: 7 to 11 p.m. The Center@862 is transforming Supply Field into a haunted house for five terrifying nights. Undead zombies are anxious to escape their cages for the second straight year. $10. 244 Heathcote Road, Scarsdale.

Community Yoga: 7:30 p.m. A mixed-level class taught by recent teacher trainee graduates. 91 Montgomery Ave., Scarsdale. 

“What I Want to Say, But Never Will:” 8 p.m. The Edgemont Junior-Senior High School performs confessions from teenagers around the country through monologues and anecdotes. $10. 200 White Oak Lane, Scarsdale.

Saturday, Oct. 27

Halloween magic: 2 p.m. Children are welcome to join magician Dave Crasson for a Halloween-themed magic show. Come in costume, or come as you are to the Scarsdale Public Library. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Sunday, Oct. 28

Yoga-A-Go-Go: 1:30 p.m. A yoga class for children with special needs. Designed to help a child with focus and balance, as well as with self-acceptance and confidence. Traditional yoga poses have been modified into a playful, non-judgmental format for fun and relaxation. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Wellesley College program: 3 to 5 p.m. Visit the Scarsdale Public Library for a program hosted by Wellesley College. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.
