What To Do Around Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A small petting zoo and an author visit at the public library highlight some of the events planned in Scarsdale for the weekend.

Friday, Nov. 30

Mother Goose for pre-walkers: 9:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2. Scarsdale Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Budget meeting: 2 p.m. The League of Women Voters of Westchester County will host a budget meeting. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

“Snowflake Has Its Day:” 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Students at the Concordia Conservatory will put on a show at the Schoenfeld Campus Center. $22 for adults; $11 for children and seniors. 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville.

Community yoga: 7:30 p.m. This mixed level class will be taught by recent teacher trainee graduates. Yoga Haven, 91 Montgomery Ave., Scarsdale.

Music at the park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro showcases artists in various music genres. Guests will receive a complimentary Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Babies and Bagels: 9:15 a.m. This informal, drop-in playgroup is for babies and toddlers with their moms, dads, caregivers and grandparents. All are welcome. There is no fee for this program. Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Holiday Boutique: 10 a.m. The West Center Congregational Church hosts a boutique and silent auction featuring a variety of goods including Christmas items, seasonal decorations, jewelry and more. 101 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Craft Fair: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Tuckahoe-Eastchester Girl Scouts will have a variety of handmade and holiday goods for sale at the annual fundraiser. 550 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Visit From the Farm: 2 p.m. There will be frogs, bugs and other animals at the Scarsdale Public Library. This program is designed for children with special needs, though all are welcome. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Winterfest: 5 p.m. Tuckahoe will ‘host its annual holiday celebration. There will be ice-skating and holiday music all day, and a tree lighting at 6 p.m. 1 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Holiday Boutique: 10 a.m. The West Center Congregational Church hosts a boutique and silent auction featuring a variety of goods including Christmas items, seasonal decorations, jewelry and more. 101 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Winterfest: 12 p.m. The holiday celebration continues with pictures with Santa in the Generoso Pope Foundation building, ice-skating, live reindeers and hayrides. 1 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.
