What To Do In Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A day of Legos at the library, an evening of chamber music and a yoga class for kids with special needs are some of the events happening in Scarsdale this weekend.

Friday

Legomania: 2 to 4 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will have Legos and Duplos available for young children to build anything their imagination dreams up. Registration is required. Scarsdale Library, 54 Olmstead Road. 

An Evening of Chamber Music: 7 p.m. Scarsdale Congregational Church presents an evening of Chamber Music. Tickets are $20. There will be a free reception after the performance. To purchase tickets, call 914-723-2111 or order via PayPal. A portion of the proceeds will benefit school music programs for the Lakota children on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Saturday

Yoga-A-Go-Go: 1:30 to 2 p.m. Yoga for Moving Kids (special needs). Yoga can aid in teaching a child focus and balance as well as self-acceptance and confidence. Traditional yoga poses and practices have been modified into a playful, non-judgmental format for fun and relaxation. No knowledge of yoga is necessary. No registration required. Scarsdale Library, 54 Olmstead Road.

Sunday

Trains: 1 to 5 p.m. The Scarsdale Library train set will be available in the Children’s Room for free play. Scarsdale Library, 54 Olmstead Road.
