What's Happening Around Scarsdale This Week?

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – There are a handful of events scheduled for Scarsdale residents this week. There will be an architectural board meeting Monday and the board of trustees will meet Tuesday morning. For a complete list of local and county happenings, see our Events Page.  

Monday, Aug. 27

Weekly Musical Camp: 9 a.m. Weekly Drama Musical Day Camps still are going strong. Now is the time to ensure your child will be actively engaged until school starts. This week, students in grades kindergarten through seventh will learn and perform “Honk,” and “Guys and Dolls.” $150. 133 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

 

Architectural board meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Architectural Review will meet at Rutherford Hall. See the agenda here. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

Board of Trustees meeting: 8:30 a.m. The Village Board of Trustees will meet for its regular meeting. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Story time: 4 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will have a free story hour for children ages 3-5. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Childbirth class: 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Hospital is offering childbirth classes for expectant parents. Parents can attend class on three consecutive Tuesdays, or complete the entire session on a single Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class costs $200 per couple. 55 Palmer Ave., Bronxville. 

Thursday, Aug. 30

Mother Goose Walkers: 10:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Free concert: 6:30 p.m. There will be a free outdoor concert on Park Place, featuring a currently unknown performer. The street will be closed to vehicular traffic, and there will be food available from local merchants. 9 Park Place, Bronxville.
