What's Happening Around Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – There are plenty of events scheduled in and around Scarsdale this weekend. Edgemont High School's lacrosse coach is hosting a clinic for students on Saturday and there is a block party planned in Bronxville on Sunday. Friday, Sept. 21

Mother Goose Walkers: 10:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2 at the Scarsdale Public Library. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale. 

Free crafts for kids: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Lakeshore Learning Store will host its weekly free day of crafts for children. Utilize art materials in a guided project that changes each session. 969-A Central Park Ave., Scarsdale.

Dancing Through Books: 4 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library is hosting a special program for children 5 through 8-years-old. The Dance Gallery will hold a class to explore the art of reading and creating dances. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Music at the park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase different musical artists of various genres. Guests will receive a complimentary Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Scarsdale Farmers Market returns. Scarsdale Village Merchant Parking Lot.

Anniversary sale: 12 p.m. Traprock Suite is commemorating owner Susanne Whittle’s 36th year in business with a two-day storewide anniversary sale. 130 Brook St., Scarsdale. 

Lacrosse Clinic: 12 p.m. Edgemont Youth Lacrosse hosts a clinic for students in third through sixth grades, coached by Edgemont High School coach Mark Gryzlo. 51 Seely Place, Scarsdale.

Free infant class: 1:35 p.m. Gymboree will host a free trial class. Classes are designed to explore senses and support visual and auditory development in children. 450 Central Park Ave., Scarsdale.  

Sunday, Sept. 23

Block party: 11 a.m. The seventh annual Garrett Park Neighborhood Association Block Party and Flea Market returns to Bronxville. There will be food, goods for sale and music starts at noon. 35 Parkview Ave., Bronxville.
