Monday, Aug. 20 

Weekly Musical Camp: 9 a.m. Weekly Drama Musical Day Camps are still going strong. Now is the time to ensure your child will be actively engaged until school starts. This week, students in grades kindergarten through seven will learn and perform “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” $150. 133 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Explore Espanol: 9:30 a.m. The Scarsdale Congregational Church School is hosting a Spanish summer program designed to give children the opportunity to explore and improve their Spanish language skills. $275 per week. 1 Heathcote Road, Scarsdale.

Preschool preview class: 12:30 p.m. Gymboree Play and Music of Scarsdale will give parents the opportunity to attend a free preview class. 450 Central Park Ave., Scarsdale.

La Leche meeting: 5 p.m. The La Leche League offers breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support in a forum of open-ended discussions on mothering. 7 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

Story time: 4 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will have a free story hour for children ages 3-5. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Childbirth class: 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Hospital is offering childbirth classes for expectant parents. Parents can attend class on three consecutive Tuesdays, or complete the entire session on a single Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The class costs $200 per couple. 55 Palmer Ave., Bronxville.

Thursday, Aug. 23

Mother Goose Walkers: 10:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.
