What's Happening Around Scarsdale This Week?

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – There is a small slate of events scheduled in Scarsdale this week. Schools will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for Rosh Hashanah, and there will be a planning board meeting on Wednesday. See our Events Page for a complete list of local and county events.

Monday, Sept. 17

Rosh Hashanah: Schools are closed. 

Board of Architectural Review: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Architectural Review will host its only meeting of the month. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, Sept. 18 

Rosh Hashanah: Schools are closed. 

Story time: 4 p.m. Free story hour for children ages 3 to 5. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Childbirth class: 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Hospital is offering childbirth classes for expectant parents. Parents can attend class on three consecutive Tuesdays, or complete the entire session on a single Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class costs $200 per couple. 55 Palmer Ave., Bronxville.  

Wednesday, Sept. 19

‘Ask Astorino’: 7 p.m. County Executive Rob Astorino is hosting a town hall meeting at Scarsdale Village Hall. Residents are invited to ask questions and listen to the executive speak. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale. 

Planning Board meeting: 8 p.m. The Village of Scarsdale will have a Planning Board meeting, discussing a possible deck addition to the Scarsdale Teen Center, among other things. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale. 

Thursday, Sept. 20

Mother Goose Walkers: 10:30 a.m. This program of songs, rhymes and books is designed for children up to age 2. Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale. 

Tennis Club: 3:30 p.m. Fox Meadow Tennis Club announces its fall Junior Tennis Program. $210. 14 Wayside Lane, Scarsdale.

JLCW Coffee: 8 p.m. The Junior League of Central Westchester is hosting an informational coffee for women with an eye for volunteering. 1039 Post Road, Scarsdale.
