SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The undead are taking over Scarsdale this Halloween, as the village participates in several zombie-related events during the next two weeks.

From 7 to 11 p.m. on October 26 and 27, and from 6 to 9 p.m. on October 28 and 30, and on Halloween night from 6 to 10 p.m., Supply Field will be transformed into a Zombie Asylum. The "asylum" will feature the undead anxious to escape their cages and put a scare into those brave enough to participate.

The haunted house is sponsored by Freight Room Productions, in coordination with The Center @862. Tickets are $10 each, and an adult must accompany children under the age of 10. There will be “zombie dawgs,” created by Dobbs Dogg House of Dobbs Ferry for those with a strong stomach.

For folks who can’t wait until the haunted house to get their Halloween fix, Lange’s Deli, at 57 Spencer Place, is offering a new spooky treat: a “Zombie Asylum” sandwich. Then head over to All Good Things ice cream shop, at 1074 Wilmot Road, and enjoy a “Zombie Asylum” sundae.  Each comes with a $2 coupon for the haunted house.
