This Hudson Valley town knows it.
And so do all the residents who flock there to celebrate the holidays.
But now, people across the country will know that Dutchess County's own Rhinebeck is one of the country's Top 10 Most "Christmassy" towns, according to the Travel Market Report.
What makes Rhinebeck so "Christmassy" is not only the tony people who live there such as singer Natalie Merchant and actor Paul Rudd, but the town itself and all it offers including the oldest inn in American and lots of decorations and celebrations, and "Christmassy" things.
But one of the "real" main reasons Rhinebeck is so "Christmassy" is its centuries-old festival Sinterklaas, that traces back to the 1600s. The annual event features a fourth-century Bishop with a long, white beard who happens to love children (Santa maybe?), along with shopping, music, and a parade.
Unfortunately for newbies, Sinterklass is always held the first Saturday in December. So mark your calendars for next year.
