SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Robert the Guitar Guy (Robert Markowitz) will bring his special brand of music to the Scarsdale Public Library on Tuesday, from 10:30 - 11 a.m.
Markowitz and his repertoire of more than 75 songs will entertain young children ages 2 to 5. No registration is required for this program.
Later that day, the weekly Storytime will feature stories and rhymes designed specifically for children ages 3 1/2 to 5. The program will be from 4 - 4:30 p.m. No registration is required.
The library will hold its weekly Mother Goose for Walkers on Thursday, at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. This program is intended for babies who are walking up to 24 months old.
Mother Goose for Walkers is limited to the first 20 appropriately aged children. Attendees must have a ticket; tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis to Scarsdale cardholders in the Children’s Room a half an hour before the start of each session.
At 4 p.m. on Thursday, the weekly Needlemania!, a crochet club for children in grades 3 and up, will meet. Children will have an opportunity to learn the basics or show off their existing skills while meeting new friends. Registration is required for this program at the library's website.
Also at 4 p.m., Drop-in-Crafts for ages 3 1/2 to 7, will be held. Each session has a theme, such as creating animals, using paper, paint and markers. Registration is not required.
Mother Goose for Pre-Walkers -- a program of rhymes, songs and stories for infants who are not yet walking -- will be held Friday, from 9:30 - 10 a.m. Registration is not required. This program is intended for children not yet walking. It's limited to the first 20 babies to arrive.
