Flu shots are available for adults in the Harrison office at 600 Mamaroneck Ave. as well as the Scarsdale office at 259 Heathcote Road.
Shots for pediatric patients, ages 6 months and older, are available by appointment only at the Harrison office.
The flu shot is covered by most insurance and is administered by a physician or registered nurse. According to the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every season.
Flu season in the United States can begin as early as October and last until as late as May. During recent flu seasons, between 80 and 90 percent of flu-related deaths have occurred in people 65 and older.
