On Tuesday, Assistant Village Manager Ingrid Richards announced that potential homeowners interested in purchasing the property at 32 Ferncliff Road will have until Tuesday, May 9 to submit their sealed bids to officials.
According to Richards, the property includes a two-story, single-family home that was built in 1928 and classified as Old Style architecture. The house is 2,195-square-feet, with two and a half bathrooms, four bedrooms, a fireplace, full basement and unfinished attic. The building lot is 10,454-square-feet with 100 feet of frontage.
Richards said the property consists of two tax lots considered merged for zoning purposes. It is located in the A-4 zoning district, which requires a minimum building lot of 7,500-square-feet with no less than 60 feet of frontage.
Bid Solicitation packets are available at the Village Manager’s Office at Village Hall. They can be submitted - clearly marked as: “Bid Submission, Village Owned Property, 32 Ferncliff Road” - and delivered to the Scarsdale Village Treasurer’s Office, marked to the attention of Marly Lou McClure, Village Treasurer at 1001 Post Road.
There will be a pre-bid conference held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at Village Hall in the Third Floor Meeting Room. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9 at the Second Floor Trustee’s Room. Inquiries can be directed to Richards at irichards@scarsdale.com or (914) 722-1315.
