Stargazers in the area could be treated to one of nature's most spectacular evening shows, Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis late Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
Optimum viewing time is expected to be around midnight, provided skies are clear and not cloudy, and the Northern Lights could be as visible as early as 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies overnight into Wednesday after clouds prevailed during much of the late afternoon Tuesday.
Northern Lights, a natural phenomenon, paints the night sky with vivid color. They occur much more frequently in the far north.
