SCARSDALE, N.Y. Anthony Rosario Fava, 65, a Scarsdale resident for over 30 years, died April 7.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Rosario and Agnes Fava. In 1968, Fava graduated from St. John's University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked in the accounting department of the New York Times for 15 years. Fava began his own accounting practice in 1987, which he operated until his passing.
He married his wife, Marie, at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church on Aug. 14, 1971. Fava was an avid New York Yankees fan and had a wealth of knowledge regarding baseball trivia. He also enjoyed attending oldies concerts, fly fishing and watching classic movies.
Fava is survived by his wife Marie; two sons, Richard and Salvatore; a daughter, Denise (Leo) Napior; a brother, Joseph; and a brother-in-law, Salvatore Merante.
The family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scarsdale.
