Book Club Discusses 'The Living' At Scarsdale Library

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Not Your Kids Book Club for Adults will discuss "The Living" by Matt de la Pena at the Scarsdale Library on July 8 at 1 p.m.

"The Living" tells the story of Shy, who takes a summer job on a luxury cruise ship and is stranded at sea following a catastrophic earthquake.

The monthly book club is led by author Sheela Chari. A Scarsdale resident, Chari's "Vanished" was featured on "The Today Show" and was a 2012 APALA Children's Literature honor book.
